Singur Dam


Singur Dam In Medak , Andhra Pradesh 
The government of India completed work on the Singur Dam by 1989 in Andhra Pradesh. World Bank-supported Hyderabad Water Supply and Sanitation Project was in charge of the dam and its functions later. 

The reservoir created by the dam was the chief source of irrigation water, electric power and drinking water in the surrounding areas. 30 KM from Sangareddy.

Singur Dam is an irrigation project located Sangareddy, Medak district in Andhra Pradesh, India.It is the principal source of drinking water for Hyderabad city.

It is a popular tourist destination. There are about 1000 crocodiles present in the waters.
